During your lunch period, come to the FCCLA table to receive a question about the information and earn a prize with the correct answer. You can also purchase an Epilepsy Awareness Shirt today, Friday, Monday, or Tuesday in Room 104 or 107 for $10. If you purchase a shirt today, stay after school and come to 107 to tye-dye the shirt! On Monday, DRESS LIKE A TEACHER DAY to promote epilepsy awareness!  Today’s statistics:   Approximately 4.3 million people in the United States have epilepsy. About 500 new cases of epilepsy are diagnosed every day making it the third most common neurological disorder.

Attention students planning to try out for spring sports, including baseball, softball, tennis, soccer, and track.  We are only four weeks away from the start of tryouts which begin on Monday, February 19!  Students planning to try out MUST have an approved 2017-18 Virginia High School League sports physical on file in order to participate.  If you need this form, you can pick up one in the main office or from Mr. Woshner in Athletics. More information on tryout days and times will be announced soon and will also be posted on the athletics pages on the James Wood website

Good luck to the boys’ and girls’ swim teams as they compete in the Northwestern District Championships tomorrow morning in Prince William County
