  • Just a reminder that in order to park in the school parking lot, you need to purchase a parking permit. There will be NO parking for students on the front row or back row of the parking lot this year. Permits are $75.00, please see Mr. Stiles in the main office
  • The library staff is looking for 10-12th graders who are interested in being a library aide during their study hall.  Please stop by the library for more information, if you are interested. 
  • Malloy Ford will host a Drive 4UR School event this Saturday from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM. Every test drive of a new Ford vehicle will raise $20 towards the JWAA athletic and scholarship funds--up to $6000!  With the JWAA Kickoff the same day starting at 1:00 PM, this is a perfect time to test out a Ford AND raise money for the Colonels! You must be 18 to participate.
  • The student run Google Helpdesk will be available in the library and cafeteria during some mornings and most lunches and Study Halls daily. Please feel free to bring your Chromebook to the Helpdesk if you have any questions or need a quick charge for your battery.
  • The Colonels Branch of Apple Federal Credit Union will be open for business starting on Wednesday, August 23. Stop by during your study hall to open an account, make a deposit, or withdraw money.
  • Attention Seniors: From Monday, August 21 until Friday, August 25, during all lunches, members of the yearbook staff will be collecting senior information to be published in the yearbook. Please complete the important form given in the cafeteria and submit by August 25th.  
  • Attention Freshmen: Join the Class of 2021 for a Solar Eclipse Social on Monday, August 21 at 2:30pm near the "JW" shrubbery in front of the school. While there will be a pin-hole viewer and NASA-approved glasses available for sharing, feel free to bring your own. There will be prizes for the best student-created pin-hole viewer, other contests, snacks, and lots of opportunities to meet your fellow classmates. The event will last until 3:30pm.
  • Interested in a career in healthcare? Join HOSA--Future Heath Professionals! Our first meeting is after school on Tuesday, September 19. See Ms. Forse in Room 109 for more information.
  • FCCLA will hold the first meeting of the new year on Tuesday, August 22nd at 2:45pm in Room 107. Come learn what FCCLA is all about, make an ice cream sundae, meet one of the state officers of Virginia, get involved with FCCLA homecoming entry, and find out how to attend the state fair! See you on Tuesday, August 22nd!
  • Starting Monday, August 21st, Bus #34 will be bus #14, bus #18 will now be bus #185 and bus #185 will now be bus #18.
