STEAM Grant Awarded to Bass-Hoover Elementary School

The Virginia Council for Mathematics Supervision has awarded Bass-Hoover Elementary School a grant worth close to $4,600 to support the creation of a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics) lab at the school.

FCPS has 13 Schools Fully Accredited; Zero Focus Schools

Frederick County Public Schools is continuing to make progress toward having all schools fully accredited. Over the past four years, the number of Fully Accredited schools has increased from nine to 13 while the number of Focus Schools has dropped from five to zero.

Frederick County Public Schools Launches FCPS 101 Community Engagement Program

The program will provide parents and others with an opportunity to learn about Frederick County Public Schools and its operations, including instructional and administrative services. Individuals interested in participating in FCPS 101 must submit the application form by Friday, September 15.
