School Board Requests Appropriation for Aylor Replacement

The School Board voted February 6 to ask the Frederick County Board of Supervisors to appropriate $52 million to build a Robert E. Aylor Middle School replacement to open in August 2021. The request represents the total cost of the project. Robert E. Aylor Middle School opened in 1969.

In this video, teacher Shane Hoyt and two students discuss the coffee cart program and how it provides engaging learning opportunities while teaching students valuable vocational skills. ​
